This kit has many uses but the primary use would be to extend an existing auxiliary input and make it dash-mountable for easy access. You would drill a hole in your dash/console and mount the connector. This way you don't have any wire hanging out from under your dash. The end result is a professional installation, much like the factory auxiliary input jacks that have started appearing in some vehicles.
This is not an auxiliary input. You must already have an input in order to use this. It converts that input connection to RCA, 3.5mm or dash-mountable 3.5mm.
