This radio, like all the newer GM radios, is designed to work in conjunction with your car's computer. Consequently, you will need your dealer to program the computer once it is installed in your car. The VIN# of the vehicle this radio came from is not required for the programming, so we do not include it. If your GM dealer gives you grief about programming it without the previous VIN they are just being difficult and we highly recommend using a different dealer. It is NOT required.
