Some 2008+ Ford radio blocks manufactured by Sanyo are known for CD drive problems. Don't let a defective radio keep you from enjoying your vehicle. Get your replacement CD mechanism from ReplacementRadios. If you're in need of a drive for the Sanyo radio block in your 2008+ Ford or Lincoln vehicle because of CD Error messages, Bad Disc messages, noisy operation, or basic load and eject problems, you've come to the right place.
This is a brand new CD drive mechanism (mech). This can ONLY be used in Sanyo manufactured Ford CD radio blocks. (The block is the silver part that mounts behind the dash. It is separate from the control panel and the display. It contains the CD drive and the mainboard for the radio.)
This is NOT compatible with Visteon, Pioneer or Delco manufactured Ford radios. We have provided a picture of the drive. It is in your best interest to pop the top off your radio block and make sure this is the drive you have because returns are not accepted. It is easily identified once you have the top off your block.
Instructions for installation or removal are not included. If you do not feel comfortable attempting this replacement or are not qualified to perform the replacement you should seek an electronics shop that will do it for you or ask us about sending it in for us to do it. We can tell you that you MUST disconnect the negative battery terminal (or remove the plugs from the back of the radio) and let it sit for at least 60 minutes BEFORE you attempt to do any work on the radio. Failure to do so can result in a short within the radio. We've had many reports of it from people who ignored this caution. Don't be one of them!!
APPLICATIONS
Ford used four radio manufacturers and all the parts were different for each. This drive was used in some (but not all) Sanyo radios from 2008-2010, at a minimum. We know it was offered in some 2010 Fusion cars but other applications exist as well. It will NOT work in Pioneer, Delco, or Visteon manufactured radios. Pop the top off your radio block and make sure your drive looks virtually identical to this one. Returns are not accepted for this item for any reason other than functional defect and, even then, your only option will be exchange for the exact same model. There will be no exchanges, credits or refunds issued so make sure you re-read this ad and understand what you're getting.
