DETAILS
**READ THIS**: This is a parts listing, not a radio! Some people buy from our parts listings thinking they're getting a radio, despite VERY clear titles, pictures and ads. If we send an email, asking you to confirm your intent to order a part, please answer it. We reserve the right to cancel any order if we're concerned it was purchased in error. We do this because we are concerned about you. That you might be wasting time and money. We once received a negative feedback because we cancelled an order when the member intended to get a part but didn't respond to our email. That's ridiculous. Simply respond and it won't happen. Plus, it's very easy to re-order. It's NOT something to leave negative over. We're not refusing to sell to you. We're trying to protect you. If you're reading this after-the-fact, please take accountability for your actions. This ad is very clear, if you actually read it. Our ads are also very clear if returns are not accepted. You cannot, rationally, blame us if you purchased the wrong thing and we won't accept a return. We have good reasons for not accepting returns on some items. If it's a clearance item, we've discounted it to get rid of it. If it's sensitive to shipping damage, we don't want to risk getting a damaged item back. We know how to package items but we've found they aren't always packed well for a return. All situations addressed here are brought on by a failure to read the ad. Reading is fundamental and accountability for one's actions is a basic concept that seems to be forgotten these days. Now, on to the details...
This works on am/fm/cd6 radios ONLY. The face (trimplate, knobs, buttons, etc) are NOT included. This is for the control/display board only and is only intended to solve problems with burnt out button back-lighting. If your radio has other problems, this won't necessarily solve them. If your display is out, for instance, this board will likely not solve the problem. *In rare cases, there can be a problem on your mainboard which prevents your buttons from lighting. If all your button lights are out, this might not solve your problem. If you know all your button lights went out at once, this board will not solve your problem. **
**A very small number of CD6 radios have a Tune knob that was rotated 45 degrees and the print on your Tune knob will be off-kilter with this board, as a result. If you want to see if yours has the rotated Tune knob, pull your existing Tune knob off, along with the white shaft behind it. Then look at the green socket that is left on the board when you remove the white shaft. If there is a groove on the inside of the socket at the very bottom of it, as well as grooves 90 degrees to each direction of the bottom one, this will work for you. Again, it works in the majority of cases but you should check to make sure since returns are not accepted.
We have noticed some radios display the bar indicators a little weird with these boards. The functions and the adjustments still work, but the on-screen indicator looks 'weird' in some cases. This occurs when you press the small AUDIO knob on the far right or possibly when you adjust the volume. Again, it still does what it's supposed to. It is just an appearance thing and it's only when you're making the adjustments.
You may have to swap the bulb covers from your board to this one if you find the button lights glow a different color than they used to.

Assembly is pretty easy. You will only need a regular screwdriver to remove the face and a 1/8 nut driver to remove the display/control board from your face. You will also have to pull the knobs off the front of your face. You should NOT attempt this repair with the radio plugged in. A short can result. Make sure you unplug your radio from the vehicle harness and let it sit for at least 30 minutes! Theftlock will NOT be activated since your VIN is stored in memory in the radio.

SHIPPING and HANDLING
-Shipping cost is based on weight and zip code. This site does the figuring, not us. If you feel their calculation is high, you might be underestimating the package weight, size, and/or current shipping costs from our zip code (62401) to yours. Please don't ding us for shipping in the ratings, as we have no control over ever-increasing carrier rates.
-We will enter a tracking number into your order details here on the site.
They will email it to you if your notification preferences are set correctly.
-A signature is not typically required. If you are not home to receive the package, it will most likely be left at your door. Please monitor it's progress and arrange to collect it when it arrives.
-This site provides a section/tab in each ad for Shipping information.
We encourage you to check that section for prices, methods, time-frames, etc.
