This DVD drive was used in some Denso navigation radios in the 2010-2012 time-frame. We know it can be used in the 20888798 Cadillac SRX (2010) radio but we don't have a list of other radio part numbers that use it at this time. We've had others report using it in a Denso navigation radio with attached screen, from a 2012 GM full-size truck. However, we have not personally confirmed this and you shouldn't buy it just because your radio is a Denso. Match your current DVD drive up to one of the part numbers provided here. (DVS8601V, DVS8603V, DVS8605V, DVS8605VZ) Seriously!! If your part number doesn't match one of those, this won't work for you. If you decide to take a chance even though your number doesn't match, please understand it is an as-is purchase with no returns. (Which is why we have them marked so cheap.) If it doesn't work in place of a different part number, that doesn't make it defective. It just makes it a failed experiment that was relatively inexpensive, all things considered.
Pictures of one style of radio this was used in appear in this listing but you are not getting the radio. Just the DVD drive that is the focus of this listing and appears in most of the photos. The drives came from an assembly line left-over radio like the one pictured. They were never used in a vehicle. The radios come right out of the GM multi-pack boxes. The drive has some cables attached, as pictured. The cables are removable. If yours need to be longer or shorter or bent at a different angle, you can re-use your originals. We include ours because there's no point in throwing them away when you might be able to use one or more of them.
Changing this drive can be a challenge. There are an incredible number of pieces to dis-assemble before you get to the drive. As a result, you shouldn't be performing the repair unless you're qualified. It does work as described, if your part number matches one of those provided and you do the installation correctly. (We've sold several hundred of them and we've done installations here so, yes, we know.) If you want us to perform the repair for you, please contact us and we will set up a repair listing.

We acquired a large number of them as part of a bulk purchase. If we didn't have so many of them, we'd be asking what the other guys are...
