APPLICATIONS
According to our info, this drive was offered in some 2010-2012 GM radios manufactured by Delco. However, in some models/years multiple radio manufacturers and drive types were used. We have provided pictures of this drive. It is up to you to confirm it is the same one you have in your radio. You can usually do this by popping the top cover off the radio so you can see the top of the drive. There should be a sticker with the part number located there, as seen in the picture.
We know it was used in radios with part number 20834563. We won't guarantee it for anything other than what we know it works in. Taking a chance on it is your prerogative but it does not make the item 'Not As Described' if it ends up being different from yours. You can check which version you need by removing your radio and removing the case. Please don't say we didn't tell you so...
ADDITIONAL INFO
Repairing a GM radio is generally a better idea than replacing it because your radio will not require programming when it is re-installed. It keeps your VIN in memory. If you replace the radio with a different one (even if it is the same part number) you will likely need programming at a GM dealership. So buying this CD drive for self-repair of your radio is both cheaper up front and in the long run. Installation is relatively easy. You should only need a flat screwdriver and a small nut-driver to remove the top plate. It is usually the same size screw holding the drive in place too. There will be a ribbon cable running from inside the radio to the board on the CD drive. It is usually a pressure connector with release levers on both sides. Do not attempt this repair with the radio still plugged in! Let it sit for a minimum of 30 minutes before attempting the repair. Make sure to confirm this is the drive you have BEFORE ordering. Compare your drive to the pictures and part numbers provided. A functional difference is not the same thing as a functional defect and usually only occurs when you don't match your drive and/or part number.
