DETAILSThis is a female plug and antenna adapter for replacing the factory 22 pin radio in many 2002+ Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles with an aftermarket. (If you need the opposite version for re-installing factory plugs and a factory radio, check our store for the CW-RP22.) Wiring pigtails of approximately 5 inches are attached. This would be used if you are trying to install an aftermarket stereo in your vehicle and do not want to cut your factory plug off and affect it's resale value. There was only one 22-pin plug offered by Mopar in the vehicles listed, so if you've counted 22 pins on your main radio connector and it is going into a vehicle on the list, this is the one you need. This style of plug was used on most Chrysler, dodge and Jeep radios from 2002 and newer, in some vehicles. See APPLICATIONS below for examples of vehicles that used this plug, as well as notes about some exceptions. (There was another plug style offered. Especially in 2002.) If you have a 2002, you should probably check to see if you have a metal 'motorola' style vehicle antenna or one with a black plastic connector on the end. If it is metal with a spike sticking out of the end, that is the old (motorola) style and you will not need the antenna adapter. For the other 2002's, as well as all 2003 and newer, you will need the included antenna adapter. If you don't need it, check our listings for the CW-AP22 plug without the adapter. This plug is sometimes cast as gray and sometimes as white. We will send whichever one we grab out of the box.
