DETAILS
This is the lid latch mechanism, complete with button and all. If your latch is broken, you know how much of a pain it is to keep the lid closed. GM wants to sell you a whole new lid. Don't overspend. Buy the OEM original latch mechanism right here and swap yours out in under 15 minutes.
This came from an assembly line left-over console that was never installed in a car, so it is in very good condition. Minor blemishes from bulk storage. Pictures are of one of the actual pieces in our possession. (Yes, we have more than one.)
Installation will require only removal of the plastic cover from the under side of your lid. This is easily accomplished by inserting a pry tool between the black plastic and your broken latch and prying the black plastic up. Once you can grasp it, pull gently and it will pop off. Remove the 3 torx screws and install the new latch. Then just pop the cover back in place. Easy peasy.
